Can i use 2 different amps for 4 door speakers?

alright so i have an mtx x702 AB amp in my truck right now running my door speakers. Im getting rid of my truck and getting an suv where i will be buying all new door speakers-2 sets of xtr 62's which are 6.5" components. My question is should i buy an orion xtr 2502 which gives 70 watts at 4 ohms to two channels to run one set of components and use the other amp which also supplies 70 watts at 4 ohms to run the other set of components , which would be 60 dollars cheaper or should i just buy at orion Xtr 2504 which supplies 50 watts to 4 channels at 4 ohms and just not use the other amp? i was just curious if i used to different amps if the music would sound messed up even though it the same power... and also the speakers are 60 watts rms so i would either be going over that 10 watts or underpowering them 10 watts.

Help choosing a sub for my odd box !?

Which sub should I go with ? My budget goes up to $300, I have a kenwood amp I am going to be running at 400 rms, but the real problem is my box... I couldn't decide sealed or ported box so my friend talked me into getting this bandpass box. There is no problem with the box only that I can't get my sub in there. The hole is 12" but the box has the insert for plexiglas which is obsructing where I put the sub in so the sub doesn't really fit !!! I can't return the box so I'm using it for sure, so I was thinking about doing a kicker cvt for tight spaces and twisting it in there but I don't want it to sound bad. Is there a way I can modify the box to get a normal 12 in there ? Pleeeeease help me !!! Whats going on with me?

When i was little i used to have these moments where my heart would race and my breathing would quicken. then after a while i would start having these weird moments during that where i would feel really claustrophobic and then everything would start spinning and look they were moving really fast. then when i told my parents, when ever they talked it sounded like they were screaming at me. after crying an curling up n a ball on the bedroom floor cuz i couldn't take all of it they took me to the emergency room but everything had stopped by the time we got there. after that these episodes kind of gradually went away and i haven't had them for years until now. there slowly starting to come back and its starting to really scare me that something could be wrong with me. does anyone else know what could possibly be going on?

When i turn my volume up past about 25 my subs lose power, what could be the problem?

I have 2 12in kicker cvr dual 4ohm, hooked up to a alpine m6 amp putting out 724 watts rms. I have 8 gauge power and ground wiring. When i turn up the bass to my subs, they lose power, they dont go completely out, but they dont hit as hard, and then after about 10 or 15 seconds they go back to full blast, but i cant turn my bass up any higher on my head unit because then they dont stay hitting hard, i was just wondering because i had read a couple things, and it sounded like i needed to get bigger power and ground wiring, but i wanted to get some opinions first, thanks guys!

Low , mid , and high are set to your taste .... but try to stay in the negative range on the low ... and try to keep it within +/- 4 on all of them .... other than that set it to what sounds good to you . LPF = Low Pass Filter and is the crossover frequency for your sub out . set it near 100hz and it will let any frequencies lower than that pass freely and filter out any higher freq. at the rated amount ..... HPF = High Pass Filter and does the same but opposite.... allowing higher freq. to pass freely. set near 125hz for most speakers and about 180-200hz for small 4" mids . the normal/reverse is changes the direction the sub moves first when playing a sound... and will not damage anything. may make them louder or sound better in some instances ... but most of the time does little .

I was watching a bird's nest for a while, there was an American Goldfinch and a Brown-Headed Cowbird in the nest. This nest was a result of brood parasitism, from the Cowbird. The two birds hatched and I began observing them. Already there was a HUGE size difference between the two babies. Anyways, three days after they hatched, and went to go check on them. The nest was empty (and destroyed). On the ground was the two baby birds. I immediately took the baby birds inside, and put them in my brooder/incubator. The Cowbird was eating perfectly and growing. The American Goldfinch was not healthy. Before I could take him to a rehabber, he died (two days after I took him in). Now I have been handfeeding the cowbird for almost a week, and starting to wean him. I am experienced bird keeper... So he is in the best of care. I have some other birds, and they are now bonded with him as well! I am just wondering, is it legal to keep a Brown-Headed Cowbird as a pet (because of the brood parasitism, many people are prejudiced against them... and even kill them! You could either get a 300 watt amp and tie the two together, or two Amps, 1 for each, you can always go bigger but you risk blowing the subs. Just make sure you get an amp that is either 4 ohms, or that you can change the ohm rating

Kind of a hard thing to explain to someone... An OHM is a measure of impedance. It measures the resistance to the flow of power thru a device. The reason it's important to know what that measurement is for amps & speakers is the two components must match. The amp & the speaker(s) should be the same OHM valve for them to best work together. Impedance is additive, so if you take two speakers, each 4 OHMS, & wire them in series, so the power goes thru one speaker & then the second one, the amp will only 'see' 2 OHMS. So, basics, the amp & the speakers should both be the same. Some amps give you different output taps of different OHMS, so there could be a set of output taps for 4 OHMS & a separate set of output taps for 2 OHMS.

Turn up the sub controls on the equalizer and if it has its own crossover filter for lowpass then dont use the amps crossover. You may be using double crossovers lowering the signal output slightly. If this doesnt help then turn up the gains slightly on the amp. Hifonics are over rated anyways. In fact they just recently became cea compliant. Any older model is most likely over rated and doesnt do the power it claims

VERY Basic QuickBooks Question????

The only thing I want to do is manually enter my bank statement info each month. I do not need double entry accounting...I do not need vendors/invoices, etc. I just want to enter the transaction as income or expense...give a few basic details about the transaction, and be able to print basic income/expense reports based on that information. I used to use Quicken and that's all I did with it, but I bought a MAC and picked up QB for the mac. So, does anyone know how I would do this? I can't figure it out, lol!! For example... Also, people don't lose 5 pounds in a week. That's totally unrealistic. Only on like the TV show The Biggest Loser do people lose that much. One pound equals 3500 calories. So for every 3500 calories you burn above and beyond your baseline calories, you'll lose one pound.

My amp keeps getting REALLY hot..?

Like, you burn your hand when u touch it. It's a Legacy Predator LA-2268. About 900 watt rms, running 2 12 inch kickers 400 watt rms each. Wiring from subs to amp is 8 gauge. Power cable and ground wire are gauge 1. Hooked up to 5 fared cap (dont need it, I know, I just haven't got to taking it out yet). Head unit is pioneer 50 watt 4 ways. So does anyone know why it keeps getting really hot after running it for only like a half hour.

Want to run my 2fronts (Alpine Type S 50watt Rms 150peak i believe not totaly sure) and 2rear deck (Memphis Pr-692 60watts Rms 120peak) if I remember right the kenwood puts out 170watts per channel at 4ohms and 500watts at 4ohm bridged, niw I figured half of 170watts wuld be 85watts so figured both the alpine and memphis culd handle 85watts a piece seeing that im not over the peak power or wuld running 2speakers in 1channel not break the 170watts in half like would I end up with an uneven amount? I don't even need to know what the rating of your stock alt is to say, hell no. The amount of amp power alone warrants an HO alt plus adding 1 or more batteries is the same as adding an accessory, and I hope you know accessories require a power source.

I have a question about Drivers Licenses in Texas?

So I have my permit and have already taken the test, and in order to avoid a regular behind the wheel class I ordered the parent taught packet from the DPS. However, inside the packet, it says "No instruction is permitted prior to receipt of the Parent Taught Driver Education Packet. Any instruction prior to that time will not be accepted toward the required instruction time." So, I was wondering, since I've already basically completed my in class training, should I just fill out the behind the wheel portion and pass it off as if I've done the whole packet normally? Like is there any way for the DPS to know I didn't use the drivers ed packet for the WHOLE course?

Hey I've recently started running this past february and I must say that I love it and am improving every time I run. Although I love it, I am REALLY slow - even compared to my friends who rarely work out. This has me worried that theres something wrong with me. I have extremely short strides but I can go for about two miles without stopping. Im talking short strides as in a couple notches about speed walking. I dont tire too too easily but the thing i'm really worried about is my tiny stride. I've tried a few times to quicken my pace but then I get too tired and have to go back to slow mode. A mile takes me between 9 to 11 minutes and I weigh about 135lbs. Can you guys help me explain this or give any advice/recommendations? Could it have something to do with my diet? Or is it something physical holding me back? I really want to get good at running long distances but cant seem to break the cycle. What do you all think? Thanks a bunch in advanced!

Best way to wire this Subwoofer to this Amp?

I dont see in the specs that the subs is dual voice coil, however if it is you should wire the sub down from 4 ohms to 2ohms in a parrael, with mean going from positive to positive and negative to negative and than out from 1 positive to the amp and 1 negative to the amp, u can google also for diagrams etc. wiring the sub down to 2ohms its gonna give it more power to suck on from the amp and its going to hit harder, but it wont have the sound quality if u would keep it on 4ohms (its pretty much going from .5 ohms meaning sound preassure to 8ohms with is sound quality.

I'm 17 years old; 5'10; 160 pounds; 11% Body fat..... I have a pretty good strong body I would say. My arms are pretty big and i have some crazy ripped abs. Noise in Ear that wont go away !!?

I starting getting something similiar a few weeks ago. I also suffer from TMJ as well, and I was thinking that mine might be something to do with the extra pressure I have in my head and ears as a result of the TMJ. I'm not sure if what I'm experiencing is quite the same as what you described - mine feels more like if you've ever had a moth in your ear and it flaps its wings about (a kind of throbbing sensation combined with the feel you get when your ears are blocked with water after swimming mixed with something else that I can't describe). I also thought it might have been something to do with blood pressure and my heartbeat and such when it first started to happen, but I don't think it is now. It comes on randomly, but once I get it, it lasts for about 10 seconds as well, and then will return about half an hour later and will keep on doing this for about 2 hours and then it will go away and come back randomly a few hours later - really weird, I know, but I promise I'm telling the truth! Sorry I don't have any other information, just my personal experience

Audiophiles? I think that term and this kind of car audio are incompatible, at least as far as the term "audiophile" is used in contemporary parlance. I can't speaker for anything except the Dayton T MkIII as the others don't give T/S perimeters - or if they do I didn't find any on any of the sites I looked at. Quite frankly I didn't look too hard as such "unimportant details" are usually not published by car audio manufacturers. The Dayton will work, and with that port it will be + 7dB at 60 Hz and have an F3 of 40 Hz. A closed box will give you a flatter response with the same F3.

That's how it works here, but every state has it different.

I have two Kicker 15" L7's the RMS is 1000 each and peak is 2000. Each of the subs are two ohms. I have a kicker ZX2500.1 and its RMS for two ohms is 2500 and for 4 ohms it is 1250. Okay, so, today I took my permit test. I passed the road signs portion of the test and didn't miss any questions but then I took the road rules portion of the test twice and missed five questions so it automatically failed me. Your boobs will even them self's out eventually. In the mean time try different bra sizes and shapes; example: push-up bra. I'm not sure but i think their is a website for a customized bra, if you really need it. If you were on the heavier side before, I'm not really surprised this would happen. The reason bigger women have larger breasts is because of fatty build-up(gross). According to a different body type this process will always work in different ways. For some people, even loosing like five pounds can make them 'change'. The 'girls' will adjust eventually so don't worry about it. It Always works out in the end. Playing on loudness low bad for subwoofers?

I have two Planet Audios 1000Watt peak hooked up to a mono-block 1500watt. Its also 1100watt rms. Ive noticed for some time on my head unit which is a pioneer, going through the options theres a Loudness and when I go into it theres 3 other options ( off,high,low) when im playing bass on off its not all that great but when i put it on low my subs are bumping alot more than before and the bass is insane! My sister is about ten years older than I am and, because of this, we’ve never had much of a relationship. Now, I’m nearly sixteen and, because of events in the past year (before then, too, but especially in this past year), the little relationship we had is no longer existent. Long story short, because of a December 2010 fallout, she more or less hates me. While I was at school, she used to spam my phone with texts about how worthless I am, how I’m a disgrace to the family name and how my family/friends would be better off without a screw-up like myself. Her frustrations would sometimes be so overwhelming that she would attack me physically, too (one time, over a clump of dryer lint in a trash bag-less trashcan, she dug her nails into my arms). As of now, I have no desire for any sort of relationship with her, but my family insists that I apologize to her to put an end to the tension. I’ve gone over the pros and cons in my head and, really, the only pro I can see for myself is that I’ll be able to do more “teenager-like” things (e.g. get my permit, stay after school for clubs, etc.) because she’s easy transportation (my mom’s a single mother with four kids). That’s not a good reason to make amends, though; it’s selfish. So, my question is, do I make amends to make my family happy or do I say goodbye to the transportation means of my teenage life (all I do is study now...)?

Why are things so different today?...?

Rules, laws, regulation, constriction, inflammation? Whats wrong witht the world today?... My dads frined and my mom grew up in the 70's... They said times were more laid back and less tightly controlled and everyone wasnt as worried about everyone sueing each other (i couldnt get a dirtbike b/c of no where to ride it without ppl fearing of being sued) and they said the 1970's had less enviormental laws, less seatbelt worries, less smoking laws, less rules and u could ur liscence at 16 not a permit and wait like 2 years to get ur lisecne. I wish things were like they used to be. Do u think the future will bring more laws and tighter and lesser freedoms or do u think the goverment will loosen its grip?

I would say keep your kenwood. It can push 900 watts x 1 @ 2ohm. If the sub cone has a hole in it I wouldnt take it. I would go get myself sum better condition ones if your really looking for new subs. that kenwood can power some good quality subs with 900 watts at 2 ohms. Just be sure to get a pair of subs that can be wired at 2 ohms

Ice has my fiance on hold in jail how long is the process until we know an answer?

so my fiance was arrest thursday at 11:30pm. the police officer who arrlsted him told us he stopped us because one of his tail lights were off.my fiance was very calm and all with the officer.then he asked for his georgia license and he only had a mexican license and a visa (he overstayed) and he also asked for my id. i gave him my permit and all.so he arrested him and asked me to call my parents to pick me up. they did and he explained how we were able to bail him out that same night. we went and tried but unfortuantley once my dad and i got there they told us that ice had called and told them he was on hold so we couldnt bail him out. so we contacted a lawyer the next day and he called and all and they said to pay the bail so we did that same day.then yesterrday the lawyer told us that if immigration doesnt come to the jail by today then my fiance can get out by tomorrow.unfortuantley my fiance called me today and he only had 20 seconds to talk and he ibformed me that he has been moved to another jail and to call is lawyer. we didand the lawyer told us that this is a process that he will jalve to go throught and maybe tomorrow they will move him again. does anyone kbow about how long this process is? it has been such a frustrating weekand i havent even seen him since the day he got arrested.

I've never blown a speaker/sub in my life and i usually run SLIGHTLY higher then what's recommended (assuming you tune it properly to asses what is SLIGHTLY more) if you want to play the safe side, you can turn the gains (input sensitivity knob) slightly lower so that you're getting the exact 40 rms.

I'm confused about my mares behaviour?

Whenever my share horse is close to any other horses she is constantly trying to kick or bite them. All of the horses in her field don't dare come near her now and stay out of kicking distance at all times. All she has to do is walk past them and they automatically move out of her way. If you're dog is well behaved and that vet is actually worried about his well being, he would ask you to sedate Rapture before bringing him in for appointments. Seal off door for 8" sub or build an enclosure within the door?

Ive found a good deal on 2 8" subs and i want to put them in my front doors, they call for 0.5 cubic ft, i figure i could maybe build a fiberglass enclosure within the door or save myself the trouble and use 1/2" gasgetting foam and other types of sealents to seal off the door. I would also do 2 or 3 layers of sound deadening on bothe the door panel and the door. Think i could get away with this or should i build a fiberglass enclosure? The subs are rated for 200 watts rms each. I will also be putting polyfill on the inside of the door panel and door. If you dont like the sounds of this do u have any sugestions for some loud 8" ib subwoofers for under $150 for a pair?

What Is A Good Amp To Power Two 12" Kicker Comps?

I would try the ALPINE MRP-M500. it puts out 500 watts rms at 2 ohms. it cost $200 bucks and is a rock solid performer. i used it to push three P1S812 12" Rockford subs and it played really deep rich bass, never heated up and never blew any fuses. or you could try the Rockford Fosgate R500-1 mono block sub amp, it puts out about 520 watts RMS and comes with a remote gain control knob. this amp goes for $220 bucks. also a very nice amp. the amp has a bigger heatsink in size, i replaced the ALPINE with this amp.

Im guessing the subwoofer specs you posted are peak and not rms. If the sub is 300 watts rms just like the amp, then that would be a decent setup for a hatchback. I would add the tweeters if you can just to make the overall sound quality better.

Can someone explain Amps, Subs & Speakers?

Alright, so I'm re-doing my cars audio. But I want to fully understand what needs to be done before I do it. I understand that amps power subs & speakers. The terms bridge & ohms, I don't. I know mono amps have I guess one output, for a sub. 2 channel, usually for a set of speakers, 4 channels for all the speakers, and 5 for speakers & subs. Right? Now when it comes to amps pushing out power, RMS power for speakers & subs, why is that always a low number? I'm looking at a nice JL or Memphis sub with either Memphis or Infinity Kappa speakers, and an amp to push'em. If the sub pushes 200w-1200w RMS, and the amp I saw for almost $600 only pushes 300w, or something like that, how does that work? Doesn't sound like the amp is fully powering the subs potential. Shouldn't each channel in the amp push out whatever it's powering full potential? Like speakers that push 130 RMS, the amp shouldn't push 50 per channel or w/e. It should push 130 or more per channel, right? And you have a sub running to that amp, and it pushes 500w RMS, then the amp should push 500w RMS per channel to fully power the speakers and sub?

First I'd say your levels are a little low, I'd recommend at least level 40 for the Mindflayer. As for tactics, save your quickening for the last 15% of its HP, set up priority gambits with chronos tears to tackle stop and/or equip power armlets. Also try and keep your party spread out so his main attack doesn't hit them all. Use physical attacks until it gets down to 20% HP then after it has restored itself use dispel to remove its status boosts, keep pummeling away and then finish with a quickening chain.

I have a 1997 lexus ls400 and it has an 80 amp alternator, an my amplifier for my subwoofers is 1200 RMS and I have 2 gauge power wire hooked up to the amp so it can get the full power it needs, so I was wondering if it is safe to turn the amp to full volume. I have a 600 watt sub on there right now, and I was going to add another, but I'm not sure if it is safe.

The dmv commited a false act what can i do?

im trying to get my license and they told me when i first walked in 2009 that the 2008 year count for taking learners permit. so i took them 2 times that year thinking that the 2008 year count. which means you can only take them 3 times. july i called the dmv and they told me the 2008 year do not count and they claim i took it 3 times in 2009. while i know i didnt even proof from my cab because he only picked me up 2 times that year. 2009. they claim i came in 3 times and took the tests and i have to take a driving class. I have one more chance i believe because the year before didnt count. what can i do about this ...... the class cost $300 they talking about taking and i dont have that money + gas money for each day (35 hour class 40 miles away). However, inside the packet, it says "No instruction is permitted prior to receipt of the Parent Taught Driver Education Packet. Any instruction prior to that time will not be accepted toward the required instruction time." So, I was wondering, since I've already basically completed my in class training, should I just fill out the behind the wheel portion and pass it off as if I've done the whole packet normally? Like is there any way for the DPS to know I didn't use the drivers ed packet for the WHOLE course?

What's best for Nissan Frontier Crew Cab?

I have a 2007 Nissan Frontier SE Crew Cab and I'm struggling to find the right sound system for it considering the limited space. I've been looking at two things, the MTX ThunderForm for the Frontier and the JL Audio Stealthbox for the Frontier. The JL puts out 300 watts RMS and the MTX puts out 200 I think. I'm not too worried about price but I would like to get the best bang for my buck. They both are sealed boxes and the low wattage makes me concerned about how loud it will be. I want my sub to hit hard but, I also want to keep sound quality. I've never had a sub so I have no idea what the wattage will sound like in my truck but, I'm guessing since the sub will be in the cab with me, I won't need too much wattage.
