Should I get a gold or nickel fuse?

I am purchasing a 80 amp fuse for my car audio system because my other one went back which had gold ends and I was wondering before purchasing another fuse, what's the difference between nickel and gold ended fuses? Which one is considered best (such as lifetime, conductivity, etc). I don't know if this matters or not but the system is running 1200 watts RMS.
